A scorpion is an Arachnida since it has eight legs. It is a member of the order Scorpiones. There are about 2000 species of scorpions. The body of a scorpion like a spider is divided into two segments the cephalothorax and the abdomen. The scorpion's tail contains the scorpion's anus and the stinger. The tail has the vesicle, a pair of venom glands and the venom-injecting barb.
